From my last post, our project has come together so smoothly. Andrew did an exhibition of his ice sculpture in Portsmouth which I sadly was unable to attend due to not being there however, it looked amazing and so many people came down to see it as it was melting. Jess was also there taking video footage of the melting as well as pictures throughout. This sculpture definitely was the finishing touch to bring our video together and put all our points across.
When the exhibition was going ahead Koni and I were in the workshop for Engaged Citizenship talking about the project and trying to plan out parts of the presentation I was in the works of creating. When Jules joined the call, we had a discussion about the project and showed our final draft (you can see my response to the draft in my last blog post). Within this session, Jess and Andrew then joined to show the ice sculpture in action and Simone joined to see our project which was brilliant! As a group, we have been fully consistent throughout which I feel has overall made a powerful project for the video.

The last piece we then needed to work on was the PowerPoint for the final presentation and this I had been working on alone and just needed to add in parts that were each person’s research and some of the questions needed to be answered as a group. We also then needed to assign slides to each other and write the voice-over for the final presentation. We all planned a meeting for Monday 17 May and met for a couple of hours to finish it off. This pretty much meant the PowerPoint was complete and we just needed to add in voice-over to it and put the whole thing together for the final thing. Overall, I’m feeling very confident about this process as the whole thing is done it just needs to be put together, my blog is well put together and I have finished writing the report (as of 21st May). I have been so lucky for this project being put with an amazing group that works consistently throughout and puts all their effort into what we are doing despite the circumstances of COVID-19 and connecting with each other online.
All we need to do now is put it all into one file which should take not long and then present it on Wednesday!
