I am taking a lot of inspiration from this precedent as I want to incorporate the idea of using pants as the pavilion. I believe it is quite fitting to my idea and an interesting way to design and bring biodiversity onto the pavilion.

I picked the dragonfly pavilion as a precedent not exactly for the structures form but for the use of biomimicry through the design. They have taken the structure of a butterfly wing and constructed the pavilion with this in mind. This has then also contributed to the strength of the pavilion as the aluminium is acting as bracing.

The final precedent that hugely inspired my pavilion design was the discovery pavilion. I really love how they have made a space that tells a story by having each space interactive with something new. This is inspiring an idea of using pathways in my pavilion to tell information to the community. Another small detail I noticed in this pavilion was the way the walls were constructed. They have used wood type bricks which you can see through to the environment outside. I like this as it creates a connection of the interior and exterior which is diffusing the biodiversity shown in their pavilion into its landscape.
