Development and Finalizing Ideas – DESIGN: MAJOR PROJECT PREPARATION

Scaling my pavilion to accurately fit into the site.

Model i created showing how the plants would slot into the pavilion. Within the blocks there will be two plant pots which can be slotted in and out of the blocks to take away. This gives an idea that once the plants are taken the pavilions use has been acomplished.

This is a sketch model I made to give an idea of how the Pavilion would look as well as understanding any adjustments I would need to make. The roof of the pavilion wont look exactly like this but the idea of it was to show that the roof would be covered by planks.

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

From development of the design I am pretty happy with the idea and how it works. Some changes of the idea I have decided is to shorten the tunnels (not all but some) as there are four which gives a good space for movement and education. Another change, is that my idea was to have all the blocks each level moving into the center a small amount however, I realised that structurally this wouldn’t work and have any stability. Instead I have decided that once I have blocked up at least half way or more I would then slowly bring them inwards. This still gives the effect I wanted however works with structural stability.
